Lewisham Local History Society talk this month - Friday 27th November at 7.45pm in the Methodist Church Hall, Albion Way, SE13 6BT, is on the subject of the legendary cricketer. Someone who really was the first ever sports celebrity - and who lived in Lewisham for much of his life.
